Dreams FC hold scouting exercise in Obuasi
In line with our philosophy of giving talented individuals the opportunity to be noticed beyond their localities and become soccer icons, Dreams FC held a two day scouting exercise in Obuasi, a mining town in the Ashanti region of Ghana.
Over 500 young individuals including others from neighboring communities like Bekwai and Edubiase turned up at the Black Park for the exercise last Saturday as top executives of the club combed through for the next soccer star.
President Jiji Alifoe who heads the scouting department of the club disclosed to dreamsfc.com.gh the motive behind the initiative of holding the exercise beyond the borders of Accra.
“It is important that we give others who may not be able to come to us in Accra the chance to show what they have.”
“These kids have something, we have enjoyed the exercise and I am positive about the outcome. Hopefully we shall pick few super talents back to Accra”, he concluded.
Dreams FC places premium on grooming young individuals with special talents on the pitch to become world super stars.
Notable names from this system include Chelsea’s Abdul Baba Rahman, John Antwi of Misr El Meqassa, Emmanuel Adjei Sowah of Belgian giants Anderlecht and Johnson Oppong of CS Maritimo in Portugal.
Emmanuel Lomotey is the latest to join after his exploits with the senior national team B as well his move to Spanish outfit Extramedura UD.
