MATCH PREVIEW: XI Wonders out to stop Zito’s men?

Dreams FC will take on fellow new boys Techiman Eleven Wonders at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium in their last Group match in the ongoing Ghalca G8 tournament.

Coach Karim Zito’s team is buoyed by Wednesday’s win against Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

Richard Addae’s solitary strike proved to be the match winner in Kotoko’s backyard. The win follows the opening day narrow defeat to League Champions Aduana Stars.

Dreams FC will be lead by the enterprising Leonard Owusu who won the man of the match award against the Red Army.

Owusu is in a scintillating shape guiding his young team with some entertaining football.

He leads by example and of course carries the team on his shoulders. The likes of Sharani Zuberu and Richard Addae will be leading the lines with Eric Gawu providing inspiration.

ISHAWU YAHAYA- GOALKEEPER, DREAMS FC

The backline of the Still Believe lads have been resolute thus far having worked for 4 hours without conceeding a goal in open play with the goal against Aduana Stars coming from a corner kick.

Dreams will rely mostly on goalkeeper Ishawu Yahaya who has been excellent in the tournament after his penalty save against Kotoko.

That notwithstanding Dreams FC must avoid being complacent. Eleven Wonders are already out of the Competition but they poses a weapon in Abdul Basit and Larbie Koomson.

Abdul Basit has a lot of experience having led Berekum Chelsea to win the 2011 Ghana Premier League. They also boasts of a jewel in Daniel Amoako who joined from Division One side NEA Salamnina.

Eleven Wonders impressed in the opening match against Asante Kotoko. Despite losing to a slim 1-0 margin the Porcupine Warriors didn’t get things easy as the only goal of the match came from a spot kick.

With this in mind Manager Abdul Karim Zito cannot take things lightly against them judging from the fact that they come into the game as underdogs.

A win on Sunday will take Dreams FC into the semi finals of the competition. This is the Club’s first ever appearance in the Ghalca organised off season tournament.
