Match Preview – Dreams FC vs Karela FC
Dreams FC finally head back to the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu for the first time since Matchday 1 to face fellow promoted side, Karela FC in matchday 5 of the Ghana Premier League.
Manager Zito and his boys will be looking to make up for the 1-0 away loss to Accra Hearts of Oak at the Cape Coast Stadium last Sunday and this game could provide the best opportunity to do that and get back to winning ways.
But it will not be easy as Karela will be coming into this game on the back of an impressive 3-0 win over Ebusua Dwarfs in the last round and will hope to have a winning run and also get some points on the road; something they are yet to manage all season.
It was a goalless draw the last time the two sides met in a friendly during the pre-season period but Sunday’s game promises to have a different feel to it and could end up with a lot of goals.
No major changes are expected as there hasn’t been any major development in the injury situation of the side-lined squad members.
However, the return of players like Emmanuel Hayford, George Dwubeng and Michael Sarpong are a huge boost for the team.
History & Statistics
This will be the first meeting between the two sides in the top flight.
Karela FC are yet to win an away game all season; losing by a lone goal on both occasions.
Dreams FC on the other hand have won both home games by the same scoreline as Karela’s away losses

Kwadwo Asamoah’s man of the match performance against Accra Hearts of Oak last Sunday means he is one to look out for in the game against Karela.
In form striker, Zuberu Sharani will definitely also be a real threat.
