Pre-Match Presser: Kotoko game will be special – Manager Zito

Manager Abdul Karim Zito says his next game against giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko will be a special game.

Dreams FC will face the local giants on Sunday at the Theatre of Dreams in matchweek six of the Ghana Premier League and will be the first high profile league game this season.

Speaking to Dreams media, Manager Zito who has played for and coached Sunday’s opponents noted that despite it being special game because of the stature of Kotoko, the approach and goal will be like any other game.

“It is going to be a special match only because Kotoko is one of the top clubs in the country but heading into the game, the goal is to get three points so I would say it is like any other normal match.”

He adds that one of the motivations going into this game is the desire of the club to make the Theatre of Dreams a fortress.

“The other motivation for this match is that we have pledged to make the Theatre of Dreams a lion’s den for any club that’s visits. Karela came and secured a draw and that has pushed us even more to get those 3 points against Kotoko.”

Dreams FC have hit a grey path in the last few games and this Manager ZIto says is no cause for alarm and calls on the fans to be patient as the players are still adapting to the Premier League.

“I want everyone to remain calm as there’s no cause for alarm. We are on course and we will do our best. We are still adopting; some of the players have adopted but others are still adopting.”

Dreams FC head into this match in dire need of a victory coming off two losses and a draw in their previous three matches.
