#GFASC Match Report: Liberty 1 – 0 Dreams FC

A 30th minute strike from Liberty skipper Simon Zibo was all the host needed to grab all 3 points at stake in our match day 6 fixture of the GFA NC Special Competition.

Manager Pasoja rung in his first change minutes after the goal, taking off Cletus NOMBIL for Samuel Alabi whose presence stabilized the midfield for the Still Believe lads.

The opening minutes saw Dreams create several chances but Liberty remained resolute only to hit back with the opener via Zibo.

Despite the improvement, the Scientific Soccer lads enjoyed more of possession until referee ALI Alhassan signaled for the end of the first half.

Game tempo increased after recess as both sides tested their strength in attack, getting both goalkeepers busy in post.

Liberty nearly doubled the lead in the 75th as Hagan forced Amoako to a reflex save to keep his side in the game.

Razak Cromwell on the other side of the pitch forced Dida Alhassan to score full marks as his free kicks was a handful for the goalie.

Issah Yakubu also struck the upright but the rebound failed to produce any goal.

Michael Amoah got the chance to impress Manager Pasoja after coming on for Philemon Baffour but his performance was off the radar, much to the disappointment of the visiting supporters.

Liberty held on till the 93rd minute after 3 additional minutes of play.

The defeat leaves Dreams further down the league log while Liberty inch towards the summit. Dreams FC play Elmina Sharks next week in Elmina.
