MATCH RATINGS: Abdallah, Cromwell excel in tough Hearts of Oak test

Manager Karim Zito’s lads gave a good account of themselves in what can be termed as a good test from Hearts of Oak in a 1- 1 draw at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu on Sunday afternoon. See how they fared.

  • ISAAC AMOAKO – 3.5

Not the best of performances from the experienced goalie but stepped up after conceding opening goal from Samudeen.

  • RAZAK CROMWELL – 4.5 ⭐

Arguably the best on the pitch. Provided several deadly deliveries into the 18 yard box as Gawu connected well to earn the equalizer for Dreams FC. Delightful performance from the talented left-back.

A little above average performance. So much remains to be seen from Arthur with his known skill set.

Resolute and a solid partner for Issah Yakubu in defense. Another contender for the MVP on the day.

  • . YAKUBU ISSAH  – 3.0

Rugged defending from Yakubu. Not the best of days in his office with late tackles and needles challenges. Much better output in the second half.

Dwubeng tried too much to get a shot on target from midfield. Not his kind of day but provided a level of protection for the back four. Impressive.

Arthur lack a perfect entry into the game. Settled late but ensured his presence was felt in midfield. Had a tough customer in Camara but managed his way through. More room for improvement.

  • . MUNTAKA OSMAN – 3.5

Impressive from the player who returned on loan from Aduana Stars FC. Lost steam after an industrious performance on the flanks before Manager Karim Zito shuffled his cards in the second half.

  • ERIC GAWU – 4.0

Eric was the tormentor-in-chief against the Phobians and provided one of his many magical touches to get the equalizer on the stroke of half time. Refreshing and exciting to see Gawu play at this level of the game.

Not the 5-star display you always get from the skillful skipper but he stepped up much better in the second half. Nearly got an assist in the first half after his defense splitting pass found Zuberu Sharani whose effort was few inches shy of a goal.

  • SHARANI ZUBERU 4.0 – Should have been on the score sheet for all his efforts in the first 45 minutes of game action. Made less influence as the game went deeper in the second half before going off for Michael Sarpong.

  • Samuel Alarbi – 2.5

Got a shot on target and forced a saved from Hearts of Oak goalie after coming on for Eric Gawu.

  • Cletus Nombil 2.5

Not a lot changed after his introduction into the game. Average from Cletus.

  • Michael Sarpong 2.5

Tried to remain a force upfront and provided that threat for Dreams FC upfront but not much progress was made in the 18 yard box. Impressive from Michael.

  • Bashiru Alhassan 2.5

Impressive in midfield.
