Premier league delay costing us – Leonard Owusu
Skipper of Dreams FC, Leonard Owusu has complained about the delay of the start of the Ghana Premier League season.
He was speaking after Dreams FC’s goalless draw against Inter Allies at the Theatre of Dreams, Dawu last Sunday.
According to him, the delay of the start of the league is having adverse effect on the team.
“The delay is affecting the team; even mentally and physically it is affecting the team.”
“There’s nowhere that you finish with your pre-season and then the league delays so you’d have to do other things. It’s very difficult.”
He however mentioned that the team is trying so hard to keep their head up.
“We are doing our very best to come together and keep our head up and know that there is a task ahead.”
And that the training regime has been changed to suit the situation.
“We’ve limited our training. It’s not that tedious as it used to be. At least we are doing something to help each other.”
Dreams FC will open their Premier League campaign with a home fixture versus Elmina Sharks when all is set to go for the new football season.
