Player Ratings: Liberty Professionals 0-1 Dreams FC
We secured our first win on the road this afternoon as we added to Liberty’s woes this season at the Sogakope Park.
A solitary goal by striker Zuberu Sharani in the 21st minute was enough to give us the win.
Here’s how our player’s fared on the day.
Isaac Amoako – 3.5/5
He was in impressive form to ensure his 5th clean sheet of the season. He was on hand to stop several shots from the Liberty attack.
Maxwell Arthur – 3/5
He didn’t have a good start to the game as most of the attacks were concentrated on his side but he grew on as the game went on and regained his composure to make the runs and provide some good crosses into the opponent’s 18-yard box.
Montari Kamaheni – 3/5
Yet another solid display by the fullback. He did his defensive duties very well but some of his crosses on the day lacked accuracy
Issah Yakubu – 3.5/5
He had a good day at the office as he showed excellent awareness and positioning throughout the game. His crucial block midway through the first half saved us from going behind.
Massaudu Abdulai – 3.5/5
As usual, he was like a rock at the back. His composure on the ball even under pressure was impressive. He showed much awareness t block several shots from the opponent. He made an excellent sliding tackle in the 18-yard box to prevent a Liberty striker from shooting
Patrick Arthur – 3/5
Patrick had yet another good day in midfield and was fearless going into tackles. He was on hand to stop attacks in the middle of the park.
Kwadwo Asamoah – 3.5/5
He was excellent on the flanks. He wasn’t afraid to take on the opposition and could have had a goal on his own when he found himself alone in the opponent’s 18-yard box but strolled his shot wide.
Leonard Owusu – 4/5
Yet another man of the match display in midfield for the skipper. He controlled the midfield with aplomb. His passing and ball handling were excellent. He played a crucial part in the lead up to the goal.
George Dwubeng – 3/5
He was rewarded for his goal in the weekend with a starting berth and looked good in front of the defense. He was always at the right places to intercept several passes from the opponent.
Eric Gawu – 3.5/5
The veteran was on fire today as he became a handful for the Liberty Professional’s defense. He held on to the ball well to allow his teammates to join the attack. His runs in behind the opponent was a constant worry for them.
Zuberu Sharani – 3.5/5
The youngster started on the flanks for this game and looked jittery early on. He however recovered to impose himself in the game and scored his fourth goal of the season with such class as he was on the end of a move he started to put a powerful shot in the top left corner of Liberty goalkeeper, Fatao Dida’s goal. He could have had a hattrick later on in the second half but his first shot was blocked and he headed the second on to the crossbar.
