Match Report – Dreams FC 2-0 Aduana Stars

It was a repeat of the 2016 scoreline between the two sides as two second half goals by Dreams FC succumbed defending league champions, Aduana Stars to their second defeat of the season.

It was an exciting game from the get go as both sides looked eager to take the lead but also played cautiously with the intent of not conceding first.

Dreams FC dominated the early exchanges but failed to threaten Joseph Addo in the Aduana post.

The opponent took over after twenty minutes and caused a lot of problems with a series of attacks and on three occasions forced goalkeeper Isaac Amoako into making some fantastic saves.

Dreams FC managed to hold on tight and take a goalless scoreline to the dressing room at half time.

The second half proved to be a better half for Dreams FC as we started well but just couldn’t make do of the chances created.

But that situation was to change in the 53rd minute as skipper Leonard Owusu put in a cross from a carefully rehearsed set piece and the ball found Patrick Arthur unmarked who and he did well to head the ball off the post into the net; leaving Joseph Addo rooted to the spot.

The energized Dreams FC into action as some exhilarating football was exhibited and soon found the second goal in the 60th minute from a corner.

Kwadwo Asamoah this time, floated in a good cross from the corner kick and found defender, Issah Yakubu also unmarked and he did the simple job of heading in the goal.

Dreams FC continued to dominate as Aduana failed to keep hold of the ball.

Dreams FC held on to record a third win on the trot in the league.

This result leaves Dreams FC 2nd on the table, level on points with leaders Ashgold and only separated by goals.
