Samed presents U-17 medal to Dreams FC management

Still Believe FC’s Abdul Samed has presented his silver medal to the Dreams FC management upon his return from national team duty.

The youngster called on Executive Chairman, Kurt E.S Okraku, President Mohammed Jiji Alifoe and Administrative Manager Ameenu Shardow were present to receive Samed at the club’s office on Monday.

Samed was a key member of the Ghana U17 team that finished second at the just ended WAFU Zone B U17 Africa Cup qualifying tournament in Niger.

The Black Starlets lost the final match of the tournament to arch rivals Nigeria on penalties after the game had ended 1-1 in regulation time.

Samed who plays for Dreams FC’s youth team, Still Believe was the regular left-back of the side.

He however played no part in the grand finale having sustained an injury in the semi final win over Cote d’Ivoire.

Receiving the medal on behalf of management, Executive Chairman lauded the upcoming star for showing his quality at the tournament.

“We at Dreams FC are very proud of you,” he said.

“We all expected the team to win the ultimate but to lose on penalties is not bad at all.

“What was important to us is that you [Abdul Samed] showed your quality and for that we are extremely happy and proud of you.”

Samed has been given some time off to return home to his family.

He is likely to join the first team of Dreams FC on his return.
