NATIONAL ASSIGNMENT: LOMOTEY, AGBEKPORNU MAKE METEORS TRIP FOR EGYPT SHOWDOWN
Ex-Dreams FC midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey and Michael Agbeyenu are part of Ghana’s National U23 squad that departed the Accra for the 2019 U23 AFCON in Egypt on Monday afternoon.
The duo joined the team’s residential camping at the M Plaza Hotel in Accra last week and played part in a series of test games at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Michael Agberkornu was phenomenal for the coach Ibrahim Tanko during the last qualifier against Algeria while Emmanuel Lomotey was a delight to watch for the black stars b during the 2018 WAFU tournament in Cape Coast.
Ghana has been drawn with the host nation Egypt, Mali and Cameroon in Group A. The winner of the tournament and the two runner-up will earn the three slots available to represent Africa at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games in Japan.
The tournament which starts from 8 to 22nd of November. 2019.
