11 years of history for Dreams FC
It is exactly 11 years since Dreams FC was founded and the Club is proud to be celebrating this feat with its cherishable fans.
On 14 July 2009, Mohammed Jiji Alifoe, Kurt Okraku, and Prince Abdul Hamid formed a second division side bearing the name and depicting the attitude of Believers:Dreams FC. The journey to what has become a model club in Ghana today started from the Botwa community park.
It was the first step in creating one of the most successful clubs in the history of Ghanaian football. The birth of a team that has seen the likes of Baba Rahman, Leonard Owusu, Emmanuel Lomortey, John Antwi, Benjamin Tetteh, Samuel Alabi among many others wear the iconic green jersey.
“After holding a historic decade celebration last year the club is pleased to announce to its fans that a journey to another decade has started today. We express great gratitude to fans, sponsors, and all stakeholders for providing us with the unprecedented support and always believing in our dream”- club Administration manager Ameenu Shardow said.
President of the club Jiji who is also a founding member believes that this is a moment for everyone at the club(players, fans, and stakeholders) to reflect on how far the club has come and the best way to take the club to the next level of greatness.
The club will mark the celebration with a #DFC11 campaign on social media and climaxes with a short ceremony at the club’s secretariat.
